|the masculine laughs and, hearing Othoe's plans, renews his illusion. the dessicating creature is joined by others, each decaying and horrid. gnashing blackened fangs and running on short or impossibly long legs or flapping hole-ridden wings, the beasts make their way towards the water faery with new malice|

.the femme shrugs off that failed attempt and moves on. summoning more power, her own and the powerful bracelet's, she begins to shape the flames. starting as a spark in the air before her, she manipulates and urges the flickering fire. soon, the air is scorching with ripples of heat and smells strongly of sulfur. a large dragon, made completely of white hot flames, rears its fiery head in a wave of unbearable heat. oily flames lick down its massive sides and fall from a cavernous mouth to ignite the grasses below. wide wings take the beast to the air, and it soars towards the water dragon with unspeakable fury.
