Subject: Back Yard fish farm

I am interested in raising fish in my back yard. Just for our own use. The family likes bass, crappie and perch, I love trout. Can they be raised in Stocktanks? How big? how many per tank? Weather issues (live in southern kansas)We don't have a lot of room, and money is short. (wife has cancer) With the water quality issues in our area and the fact that our fishing has gone to *@#(#! If we what fish it appears that raising our own might be an option? Any and all ideas appericiated.
