Hi! I am new to this site but am hoping that my fellow
crafters can come to my rescue.
I am a 43 yr.old mother of two daughters, ages 17 and
11. In August of this year, I had major back surgery
followed by a very bad infection in my incision. I
ended up back in the hospital again. When I was
released, I had to go to the local hospital here in
North Texas everyday with a special port in my arm to
receive IV antibiotics. Three months post surgery, I
still have an open wound in my lower back. The
infection is getting better but am still looking at
more testing and several months of antibiotics yet to
come and possible further surgeries.
In the middle of all this termoil, I discovered that
my husband has been unfaithful and has moved out. I
only have Social Security in the amount of $660 and
over $500 is going to medications at this point.
I am asking that any of you that have any scrap
materials or anything that you don't use or think you
will use in the future...I am going to try to
suppliment my income by doing crafts and selling them.
Since I am not able to do any lifting, bending, etc.
and am not able to sit for long periods of time..I am
doing most of what I can do from my bed.
I would certainly appreciate anything that you have to
spare. My 17 year old daughter is graduating in May
and I have so many expenses this being her senior year
and she had worked so hard in school maintaining her
grades (all A's and 1 B since her freshman year)...it
is not fair to make her suffer for what someone else
has done.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do.
