Subject: BMW冠軍一哩賽.......

由二○一一年起，寶馬汽車香港有限公司將會贊助冠軍一哩賽(國際一級賽)，為期三年。

本年度寶馬冠軍一哩賽將於二○一一年四月二十五日舉行，並將不再安排與愛彼錶女皇盃(國際一級賽)同日上演。這兩項重要賽事，將相隔一星期舉行，而愛彼錶女皇盃明年則定於五月一日舉行。

數十年來，香港賽馬會一直致力將其世界級賽事發展成為國際知名品牌。同樣地，寶馬亦是頂尖國際品牌，在國際名車市場上建立了超卓地位。因此，這項合作實在至為合適，既可推廣寶馬這個結合優雅與動力的世界一流汽車品牌，同時亦有助推動賽馬這項香港最受歡迎的運動。

馬會賽馬事務執行總監利達賢表示：「馬會非常歡迎備受推崇的寶馬香港成為我們其中一項重要國際賽事的贊助商。安排愛彼錶女皇盃和寶馬冠軍一哩賽這兩項重要賽事在不同日子舉行，讓它們各自成為矚目盛事，實在最適當不過。」

「現時國泰航空馬會盃、國泰航空馬會短途錦標，以及國泰航空馬會一哩錦標這三項國際二級賽，均已開放予海外馬匹參與競逐，作為十二月國泰航空香港國際賽事的前哨戰。在新安排下，馬會每季將分別在五個賽馬日舉行國際賽事。

這次把兩項高水平國際賽事，分開在不同日期舉行，顯示馬會一直致力推動賽馬國際化，從而不斷提升香港賽馬的水平。」利達賢續說。
