競賽董事小組今日完成了就二月五日星期六沙田賽事賀年盃進行期間「愛跑得」在接近三百五十米處時嚴重失蹄，以及該駒騎師安國倫其後被拋下馬的原因而展開的研訊。

安國倫、策騎「歡樂繽紛」的騎師韋達、策騎「旅英駿駒」的騎師潘頓以及策騎「騰雲駕霧」的見習騎師梁家俊今日均作出證供。梁家俊的所屬練馬師蘇保羅亦有出席研訊。

韋達被裁定一項不小心策騎〔賽事規例第100(1)條〕，事緣於接近三百五十米處時，他容許「歡樂繽紛」在尚未帶離「愛跑得」之際向外斜跑，令「歡樂繽紛」與「愛跑得」互相觸碰，導致「愛跑得」在「旅英駿駒」內側嚴重受擠迫、失蹄及引致騎師安國倫被「愛跑得」拋下。在此情況下，小組認為適當的罰則是判處韋達停賽(四個香港賽馬日)至五月二十六日星期四才可恢復出賽。此項停賽罰則將押後至五月十日星期二沙田賽事之後方始執行。在衡量罰則時，小組已考慮到「騰雲駕霧」對此宗事件的影響。
