Subject: 綠色駿威被貶至第十四名

由方嘉柏訓練的香港短途新星「天久」，今天在日本阪神競馬場角逐二級賽人馬錦標，結果僅以一馬頭位之微負於日本雌馬「榮進女神」蹄下，屈居亞席，而上屆冠軍「衝鋒駿驥」則取得一席接近的季軍。「天久」的廄侶、去年於此賽後上得第二的「綠色駿威」，今年則以第四名過終點，但於當地競賽董事小組進行研訊後因途中阻及他駒而被貶至第十四名。

香港代表今年再次在此賽中以短距離之差未能摘桂，情況與去年則不盡相同。去年，「綠色駿威」於最後階段才能取得空位上前，以致未能追及頭馬「衝鋒駿驥」。在今屆賽事中，「天久」在柏寶力策下沿欄取得空位上前之後，一度看來甚具爭勝機會，可惜比牠少負九磅的四歲雌馬「榮進女神」末段保持勁勢，力抗對手奪魁。「天久」上季勝出一級賽Mercedes-Benz香港經典一哩賽，因而今仗須加磅上陣，這亦是牠今仗未能獲勝的關鍵所在。

由安國倫策騎的「綠色駿威」，沿途在外疊保持勁勢，以第四名過終點，可惜因於轉直路彎移出時曾干擾對手，最終被貶至第十四名，令方嘉柏倍感失望。

方嘉柏提到「天久」時表示：「牠今天演出十分精彩，雖然從大外檔出閘，柏寶亦發揮得非常出色。牠未能獲勝，加上『綠色駿威』失去殿軍，實在太可惜。但正面一點來看，兩駒賽後都情況良好。我會視乎兩駒的情況，再決定有關角逐下月短途馬錦標(一級賽)的部署。『天久』因曾勝出一級賽而今仗須加磅上陣，這就是牠落敗的原因，但牠角逐短途馬錦標時將毋須因曾勝一級賽而加磅。」
