鄭雨滇說，「引伸波幅」上仗在馬群後面競跑時難以約束。因此他確保「引伸波幅」出閘迅速，逐漸移至外疊，接近千五米處超越「瀟洒叻龍」。此時他嘗試收慢「引伸波幅」以讓「瀟洒叻龍」在他內側推進，但由於賽事早段步速快，「瀟洒叻龍」繼續居於「引伸波幅」內側後面。

鄭雨滇說，由於「引伸波幅」走勢暢順，他讓坐騎繼續上前，於接近八百米處超越「瀟洒叻龍」切入。

練馬師黃汝安證實指示策騎師在早段以積極方式策騎「引伸波幅」，但打算將該駒置於「瀟洒叻龍」外側。

鑑於「引伸波幅」上仗的走勢，他不想該駒在馬群後面競跑。

小組告誡鄭雨滇，雖然他策騎「引伸波幅」勝出，但他應留意賽事的步速，並且確保不要製造一種令坐騎末段未能以勁勢衝刺的步速。
