本港著名大馬主、曾飼養馬王告魯夫的梁挺生博士心臟病突發，在新馬季開鑼前，於前晚深夜不幸離世，享年83歲。

昨日馬圈內得知這消息人士，無不對此感到難過。

一些曾替其打理馬匹的圈中人表示，梁和藹可親，多年來為提升香港馬匹質素，投放資金數以千萬計，屬於「勝固可喜、敗亦欣然」的真正愛馬之士，他的離世是賽馬界一大損失。

據消息人士透露，梁挺生博士雖然年事已高，但因經常保持運動、早睡早起和飲食有節制，在生活規律良好下一向甚少病痛，生前更健步如飛。

但上周四（10日）忽然覺得身體不適，由家人陪同往醫院檢查，證實並無大礙，但為了慎重起見，仍計劃多住兩天，務求獲得最佳照顧，也方便醫生作更詳細檢查。

告東尼上周五曾問候

據一位與梁家素有來往的馬主透露，梁挺生博士留院期間一直精神奕奕，且不時與家人和好朋友通電話。

據悉，梁挺生的兒子梁欽聖名下良駒「加州滿意」，上周五（11日）參加晨操試閘，練馬師告東尼致電匯報，先由梁家家人接電話，接着梁挺生博士仍能親自接聽，告東尼也曾問候，並叮囑他安心休養，他還可如常健談。

詎料，當日夜深他突然離世，有關消息昨日傳遍馬圈，原本馬季重開呈現一片喜氣洋洋，但消息傳出，一些平時跟梁挺生博士十分要好的馬主，原已在沙田馬場廂房訂好餐桌，但因好友辭世，已無心情入場觀戰，並決定致電馬會取消今日訂座。
