「駔驍之首」的練馬師約翰摩亞證實給予白德民的策騎指示，此等指示是與「駔驍之首」的馬主之一蔡志良先生昨午在馬房討論後所得。約翰摩亞說，「駔驍之首」居後列競跑並且被移出更外疊以確保能夠望空時表現最佳。被查詢時，蔡志良先生證實，他希望「駔驍之首」離開內欄競跑，確保在直路上能夠在更外疊衝刺。

他認為，該駒能夠在更外疊衝刺時表現最佳。

他說，假如「駔驍之首」貼欄競跑，他擔心該駒可能未能在直路上望空，因而損害爭勝機會。他又說，白德民上週日在沙田策騎他名下另一駒「一口田」出賽，他對該駒在馬群之間競跑後衝刺的表現感到失望。他說，他希望確保「駔驍之首」是日不會出現同樣情況。

蔡志良先生呈交了是賽對「駔驍之首」相當大的投注支持的證據。

約翰摩亞說，在這個情況下他相信蔡先生的想法合理，因此他向白德民作出相應指示。約翰摩亞及蔡志良先生均表示滿意白德民策騎「駔驍之首」的方法。小組告知蔡志良先生、約翰摩亞及白德民，他們的解釋會被載入報告。
