「蓮華生輝」獲評全球排名最高短途馬 - 成就足可與兩屆馬王「精英大師」看齊

在本週舉行的世界純種競賽馬匹排名會議上，「蓮華生輝」憑勝出國泰航空香港短途錦標的演出獲評123分，與本港歷來最佳賽駒兼過去兩年最佳短途馬的表現不遑多讓。

此項評分與前兩屆香港馬王「精英大師」的最高成就看齊。這是最近五年勝出國泰航空香港短途錦標的香港賽駒，第四次獲評為世界最高排名短途馬。

「好爸爸」勝出國泰航空香港一哩錦標後，國際評分由115分升至119分，而該役以短馬頭位屈居亞軍的「奇速達」，評分則仍然維持在118分。

在會議上，國際評磅員沒有更改國泰航空香港盃盟主「威滿蹄」（123分）及亞軍「爆冷」（122分）的評分。「爆冷」在該場慢步速賽事中僅以半個馬位見負。

法國賽駒「迪諾醫生」勝出國泰航空香港瓶後，評分達到119分，而亞軍「佳駿龍」的評分則保持不變。

香港賽馬會賽馬事務執行總監利達賢說：「今屆國泰航空香港國際賽事，再次取得圓滿成功。在四場大賽中，頂級良駒都使出渾身解數，交出上佳演出，而『蓮華生輝』在短途錦標中的表現更尤其突出。很高興香港賽駒再一次榮膺世界最高排名短途馬。這匹上陣經驗尚少的賽駒，現已登上世界短途馬王寶座，成就實在難能可貴。『好爸爸』證明了自己足可與世界頂級一哩馬媲美，而且『威滿蹄』及『迪諾醫生』都有精彩表現。國泰航空香港國際賽事，確是名副其實的世界草地錦標大賽。」
