韋達（「勝眼光」）承認一項不小心策騎〔賽事規例第100(1)條〕，事緣在接近二百米處，他在尚未帶離「駿達駒」時，未有採取足夠的措施以阻止正在內閃的坐騎斜跑，導致「駿達駒」失去應有的跑線並且勒避。

考慮適當的罰則時，小組考慮了所有情況，包括「勝眼光」的走勢。在此宗事件的情況下，小組判罰韋達停賽（兩個香港賽馬日）直至三月二日星期日才可再次出賽。

此項停賽罰則押後至二月二十四日星期日後執行。此外，韋達被罰款十二萬元，以代替停賽多三個賽馬日。
