冼文諾決定留任馬會騎師


受薪董事兼牌照委員會秘書祁禮謙發出通告如下：


馬會騎師冼文諾於三月十日星期一，就其在港策騎的近期展望，與馬會管理層進行商討。當時冼文諾表示，由於他感覺自己缺乏支持，而且本季迄今成績低落，他希望向牌照委員會申請終止其馬會騎師聘約。冼文諾及馬會同意，暫時將該項申請擱置，直至三月十二日星期三沙田賽事結束為止，以便冼文諾有機會取得更佳成績，從而改變他離開香港的意願。

冼文諾於三月十三日星期四與馬會管理層聯絡，表示儘管於三月十二日的沙田賽事中曾勝出兩場頭馬，但他仍希望牌照委員會能處理其早前提出提早終止合約的申請。

今天下午較後時間，冼文諾再次與管理層聯絡，其後正式以書面申請繼續以馬會騎師身分在香港策騎。冼文諾表示，自從他有意離港的消息公佈後，很多人都勸他重新考慮繼續留在香港策騎，其中包括練馬師在內，因而令他感到十分驚喜。

他並表示，在過去二十四小時內所接獲的口頭支持數目，顯示其在本季餘下期間所獲的策騎機會或會有所增加。經過一段時間反覆考慮之後，他相信先前決定離開香港，是由於判斷錯誤所致，現因有時間再作深思熟慮，他已無意提早終止現行的馬會騎師牌照。管理層會通知牌照委員會優先考慮冼文諾的請求。同時，冼文諾已由即時起獲准策騎馬匹進行操練，並且可接受策騎聘約。
