按照香港賽馬會的例行程序，2008年10月1日星期三沙田賽馬日各場賽事跑獲第一名的馬匹，均須於賽後提供尿液樣本。因此，在源禾讓賽中跑獲第一名的「天澤」被循例抽取了尿液樣本。

賽事化驗所主管溫思明博士今天通知受薪董事小組，「天澤」所提供的樣本經化驗後發現含有奧美拉唑(omeprazole)及其代謝物hydroxyomeprazole。

受薪董事丁偉華、獸醫（賽事管制）林嘉豪及保安部人員今天視察了「天澤」練馬師賀賢的馬房，並將該項化驗結果告知賀賢。賀賢要求將有關的B樣本交由境外一家化驗所作獨立化驗，詳情尚待確定。

此宗事件現押後至另訂日期處理。
