Subject: Multichromatic cranial protein strands

I want to experiment in hair color, but I don't want to pay the fat bucks that professional hairdressers charge. We're looking more at streaks than at dying my entire head, because my hair is really healthy and thus must be damaged (bleached) in order to take color at all well. I don't want to wipe out the natural red entirely, but I do want to mix in some nifty coloration. I know many of you folks have experience in hair-dying fun, so I come seeking advice. If someone can point me towards a good book or web page on the subject, that too would be appreciated.

One step further down the road to punk-town,
-Matt Kimball
