I have seen my fair share of anime. Princess Mononoke was good, but it seemed overly-drawn out to make its point. I found myself wishing that it would get to the point. And Vince is right for the most part. Anime is anime. Big eyes, big mouths, etc. They are not identical, but enough alike to be sort of curious. This is not to say I haven't enjoyed my fair share of it, but usually I go for the lighter hearted anime. Princess Mononoke and Akira were leviathan works that may have lost something in the translation, both culturally and linguistically. I enjoyed the Bubblegum series. Riding Bean was good (I think that is the name, it has been many years.) Vampire Hunter D, I am fairly certain, is good. I am trying to remember if it is that series that I have seen. Again... foggy memory restrains me! You have to pick and choose your pills and poisons. It is unfair to lump it all into one category and say it is annoying, yet, Vince has every right to do so! :) It can be annoying, but it can also be very good.
