I have no real strong qualms w/cloning per se.

I do have a problem w/creating another person for the express purpose of taking an organ from that person, and I would extend this concept right down to the level of creating stem cells just to take them from the embryo.

Cloning and individual organ would be fine w/me, if it is even possible.

RE: cloning and the age of the clone. It is my understanding that the cloners of Dolly the Sheep were surprised by the age of the clone when it grew up. To put it in human terms, it hit adolescence and became a middle-aged sheep, just like the original it came from. Turned out that aging is in the DNA itself. So, at this time, if you clone an old men, you get a baby that grows up to quickly become that old man, and then ages normally.

I only heard this from one TV news source, so I may be totally wrong. If you know different, tell me.
