Here's an interesting way of looking at it. Who cares if the gov't makes them offer contraceptives? If a person is a devout Catholic, they still have the option of not using them. It's a matter of personal holiness. And, besides, you are not seeing as many Catholic families with 12+ children like you did a couple of generations ago. So, birth control is already being used by many Catholics. My great-grandparents had 12. (Remember Monty Python's take on this in "The Meaning of Life"? Especially love when John Cleese (I think) says, "We're protestant...we can use one of those fancy french ticklers..."
