Maybe its the sociology classes I've had but here's the essence of my take on what you said:

We all have a culture.

You are a part of one, rather you recognize it or not.

Culture helps to provide one with a frame of reference and you really can't escape it. For example, being an American (I assume, but I guess you could be a Canadian and the point would still apply) you assume it is your natural birthright to speak your opinion on any and every topic - rather anyone wants to hear it or not (a common trait shared by all of those on this message board). Some cultures would definitely frown on that. If you moved into one of those cultures you would still have opinions and you would have to constantly be biting your tongue so as not to offend. Your cultural frame of reference would still be American, despite "acting" like another culture.

Having a one-culture-world by definition means that parts or the totality of other cultures will have to be emliminated in order to assimilate into this new culture.

Personally, I like the totality of the spectrum of world cultures too much just to see them eliminated in the name of some arbitary higher "good".

BTW - I really was not upset over your cult/religion comment - it really was a long pasted post just to clarify the definition in its most modern and up-to-date usage.
