How can you talk about gay marriage without talking about religion? How can you talk about the conflict between east and west without including religion? The answer is inadequately.

There is a misunderstanding. Arguing about the validity of one religious view over another is all that is prohibited. I don't want to hear that weak-minded people are atheists or that only sheep are religious.

Defining religious terms or asking for more information ABOUT a religion is okay.

Talking about the historical effects of religion on society is okay.

Talking about the religious influence on America or society is okay.

Trying to figure out why a certain religion is banning games, films, or segments of society is okay.

Making fun of or tearing down a religion or religious viewpoint is not.

Although, I must say, I can talk about gay marriages without bringing in religion. I am in support of anyone who wants to commit to another person and share their lives. I find it annoying that senates around the nation are setting aside far more important matters to discuss gay marriages. Who cares? Let's get down to more important matters like property taxes, fraudulent wars, and other sundry issues.

I can also talk about gay marriages by including religion: I find it interesting that most sex videos and magazines include Lesbian images. These are extremely popular in America. It stands to reason that many people who enjoy watching Lesbians on film are Christians. Yet these same Christians denounce homosexuality in public. Fascinating.
