- So, what is the white man looking for? - MVD

Last night was my first night of a Western Civilization class that I am taking this quarter. The professor, in his introductory lecture, was speaking of how America is realistically an empire. He then went on to discuss how empires historically will climb to an apex, and then fall. To him, the question that should be asked is: "How to prevent or postpone the demise of the American Empire".

My question would probably be more aligned with Carl Jung's "Red Indian friend". My question is: "SHOULD we even attempt to prevent or postpone the demise of the American Empire?"
