I am not sure who Doug Reames of El Dorado, Arkansas is, but he could stand to take a few classes in essay writing. The structure was terrible, and he used few, if any, transitions, making the essay jumpy and difficult to read.

His introduction fails to illustrate the effects of Rock and Roll, just the effects of stupidity. Similar events have happened to people who watch too many cartoons and are stupid. Imagine if a stupid person watched the "Dukes of Hazzard" and decided to speed along a dirt road, catch the eye of the cops, lead them on a merry chase, and then try to jump a creek. He'd crash.

Should we have no entertainment at all? Ban Shakespeare and all the rest? (People reading "Romeo and Juliet" might have premarital sex! Gasp!)

He wrote, "Some of the colleges and universities actually have classes about witchcraft." What does this have to do with the topic at hand? Nothing.

Frankly, if Ted Nugent is deaf in one ear because his music is too loud, that is his own fault and his own stupidity. Don't blame rock music. Rap music seems to be just as annoyingly loud... and I like to play Wagner at a pretty hefty volume too.

He writes, "The group Styx does not really appear to be satanic, but their name refers to the first river of the shadow of the dead to come to in the underworld in Greek Mythology." So? Why is this bad? Should we ban the study of ancient myths?

He writes, "Gene Simmons says that KISS is concerned with sex and very little else." So? Is anyone surprised by that? He likes to have sex; so what? I do too! Personally, I think sex is a blast!

He writes, "Wendy O. Williams, lead singer of the Plasmatics, usually appears topless at some point in her concerts. Before she uses her trusty sledgehammer to destroy speakers and amplifiers, she uses it to masterbate in public..."

Cool! Good for her! I have never heard of the Plasmatics, but I want to see them in concert now! Thanks for the free advertising for them. That sounds like my kind of show.

Why should masturbation be such a forbidden thing? And breasts? Why are Americans so disturbed by breasts?

He writes, "Elton John says he can have sex with either male or female and thinks that people should be free with it." So? Why not? Martin Luther, the founder of the Lutheran Church said that if a husband is unable or unwilling to satisfy his wife, he should send her to his brother so that she is not unsatisfied. Should we now ban the Lutheran Church for his opinion?

Banning Rock because of Elton John's opinion is just as stupid.

The author fails to make any real point.
