Subject: For D&D fans...

I found this, apparently written by someone with the name Nintendork. I thought it was pretty cute. It goes to the tune "Boys of Summer" by Don Henley (recently re-made by The Ataris). It keeps up the meter pretty well. If you don't remember the tune, here's a link to a refresher, courtesy of Wal-Mart online.

Current music: The Ataris -- Boys of Summer

I'm such a dork.
Ok, so i got bored... and rewrote "Boys of Summer" by the Eagles (and more recently the Ataris, for you youngin's)... I like both versions, the Eagles one is better, but the Ataris' version feels fresher cuz i havent heard it for my entire life from my mom.

...well i rewrote it about D&D... here is is... its so lame

Nobody in a robe
Nobody in a cloak
I need GP real bad
My +1 sword just broke
Empty caves, empty streets
The sun goes down alone
I'm searching in a crypt
Looking for a magic tome

But I can't see you-
Your hide check was a good one
You got your hair jet black and your elven cloak on, baby
And I can tell you my love for D&D is strong
Though the boys of TSR are gone

I never will forget those books
I wondered if it would get old
Remember how you killed that dragon?
Remember I killed a kobold
Now you'll understand why paladins don't sin
But babe, I'm gonna get new dice
If I hit I kill a goblin

I can't see you-
Your hide check was a good one
I hear you walkin' real slow and you're backstabbin' everyone
I can tell you my love for D&D is strong
Though the boys of TSR are gone

Out on the road today, I saw a THACO sticker on a Wemic's back
A little voice Inside my head said, "Don't roll bad. You can never roll bad."
I thought I knew what D&D was
What did I know?
TSR, gone forever
I should just let them go but-

I can see you-
My spot check has overcome
You got that hood pulled down and amulet on, baby
And I can tell you my love for D&D is strong
Though the boys of TSR are gone

I can see you-
Your short sword shinin' in the sun
You got that bow pulled back and your aimin' at everyone
I can tell you my love for D&D is strong
Though the boys of TSR are gone
