By hardware hog I mean it lags like a motherfucker. 30fps is possible at 8x6 on medium settings. This is with my Athlon 2600 + Radeon 9600Pro.

People on boards are saying that even with grade A computers you can't run much faster -- it's so bad that MS had to release a performance tuning guide.

A friend got Max Payne 2 and says he can run it with no trouble at full everything -- Bungie just failed to get Halo tuned correctly for the PC.

It's still a very enjoyable experience though -- pretty and fast paced
