There's a good book entitled "Founding Brothers". I think you'll find it interesting. Its a set of multiple biographies of the most influential founding fathers.

You may be surprised at the conservatism of most of them (with the exception of Patrick Henry who is not featured, as best as I can remember, and Thomas Jefferson who almost always wrote a better game than he actually played).

I also recommend a book called "Liberty!" which is the prent companion to a PBS mini-series by the same name which may be available at the library.

I believe I have reviewed both of them on this site, but the voy.com server is running incredibly slow tonight and I can't get the pages to come up at a pace that makes it worth me looking.

Here's one I found about a George Washington book (paste away!):

I can't find the "Founding Brothers" review but it is readily available - it was a NY Times Bestseller a couple of years ago.
