Well, I disagree with you about the Scouring. It is one of my favorite parts, for many different reasons.

I would say the movie was the best of the three.

I would say the battle was very well done. Some people have suggested, and they might be right, that the Oliphants were just too big. But that is a minor criticism. As with the shattering of bricks -- that wouldn't have happened, but again, only a minor complaint.

The three scenes I look forward to, in the complete edition, which are to me important are:

1)Gandalf and the Witch King at the gate.
2) The Voice of Sauron
3) House of Healing.

Now another I hope was filmed, which is also a favorite of mine, but I do not know if it was:
4) Samwise the Strong.

Still, the best of the movies, although I could tell more of the CGI in this one than the rest.
