Subject: ANHOW Review of Books: "The Informant" by James Grippando

Genre: thriller
Published: 1997 by HarperCollins

Synopsis:

A newspaper reporter is contacted by a man who claims he can practically read the mind of a serial killer and for $50,000 he let the reporter have the exclusive on the next murder as soon as it happens. The reporter contacts the FBI and together they agree so that they might be able to fashion some sort of lead in the case. Mayhem and tension ensue.

My review:

This is a decent thriller. Sometimes the tension is quite good, such as in the climax of the book. Other times, you are left wondering how many coincidences you can swallow in just one story.

My grade: B-
