This is the latest in the Leaphorn/Chee stories set on the Navajo Reservation in the Four Corners area of the Southwest. This series is absolutely fantastic - I read through most of them (there are about 15) 5 or 6 years ago and have been patiently waiting for each new one to come out. If you are looking for something completely different to read, pick up an early Leaphorn/Chee novel (they do go in order since the characters age and Chee's relationships come and go). These 2 characters are Navajo Tribal policemen and you end up learning so much about the ways and the beliefs of the Navajo and life on the reservation as you read these stories.

I give this book a "B+" and the series as a whole an "A".
