Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast

I'm afraid I must rave over a new game (new to me anyway).

What starts out as an above average 1st person shooter suddenly turns into one of the coolest games I've ever played.

If you've ever wondered what it would feel like to be a Jedi in combat, this game comes as close as any PC game could come. After an hour of being forced to battle mere mortals with a blaster you finally come into your own when you regain your force powers and reclaim your lightsaber. Suddenly you can jump great hieghts, move at incredible speeds, push ememies away with a flick of the wrist or pull the weapons right out of their hands. When you activate your Force Speed, the rest of the world slows down around you -- it's great to see the limbs of your foes fly through the air in slow motion!

You can walk into a room full of blaster wielding enemies with only a lightsaber and kill every last one without taking a scratch . . . it is such a rush of power! Of course there are challenges too -- when dark Jedi come to fight the dual can be quite intense.
