First - the re-hash:

2)An Al-Qaeda member arrested in Britain last month for a plot to attempt to poison the water supply to a Brit military base (with a large supply of poison - a type that Sadaam has had and refused to declare that he destroyed)

(I am not aware of Iraq being controlled by the Al-Qaeda. I was led to believe that Saddam was in charge there... and that he was NOT a member of that religious splinter-group.)

receieved medical care in Baghdad (leg amputation) due to injuries received courtesy of American forces in Afghanistan.

(So Doctors shouldn't help the wounded? Doctors shouldn't help people regardless of political/religious affiliation? Do you advocate Republican-Only Hospitals in America? If this person had managed to make his way to America and an American Doctor helped him, would you crucify that Doctor?)

I've supplied all of the above for those who fail to see the connection between 2 events in an easy number format. To repeat:

1. Terrorist gets injured.

2.Terrorists goes to Baghdad to get surgery.

3.Terrorist gets RE-SUPPLIED with war materiel in Iraq and sent out to fight again.

4. Terrorist goes to England with supplies and gets caught.

The problem is not 1 or 2. It is 3 & 4. Doctors healing someone is different than re-arming them and sending them back into the fray.

There is also a problem in that you have also lumped the Al-Qaeda in with the Democrats, by inferring that the only reason a terrorist would not be served is because of his politics. Al-Qaeda is not a political party that works through the system to acheive its goals. And, please, before you start feeding me the line about them being stifled by America, etc - look at the men who took over the plane - almost all were from Saudi Arabia, one of the richest and most influential countries on earth - and the wealth is spread around there pretty well.

The second re-hash:

1)umm...we get regularly fired on by Iraqi missle stations every month.

Here? Civilian targets? Or our military presence near their borders? Do we fire back regularly? Or do we fire first?

They (Iraqis) lock on with missle batteries (which is the exact same thing as aiming a pistol at someone), we fire (which would be the same as you shooting someone who was aiming a pistol at your head - self-defense). Sometimes, they fire, but that is a real good way to get dead in a hurry.

Our military presence is in the NEGOTIATED no-fly zone. We made this deal and he has broken it. You want to deal again. Why? OH - I see - his track record is so good over the last 12 years - give him a A++++ rating and a Discover Card while you're at it.

Once again - see Neville Chamberlain.

Are our soldier 2nd class citizens who don't deserve the respect of at least an OUNCE of outrage that they were fired upon doing the job that was set out for them in the negotiated cease-fire agreement?

Do you want a civilian target? While Clinton was President, he was very proud (and rightfully so) that the FBI caught a team of assassins sent to the US by Iraq to kill George Bush I.

The third re-hash:

Perhaps if we negotiated a peace with Saddam, and he became interested in our mutual success, he would be less inclined to help those who are anti-America.
