No, after 10 years I'ved decided to move on. I've already have a few job opportunities in Virginia, San Diego. Either in SpaWar or General Dynamics (Both government contractors based on computer technology). I'll either do that or try out the Merchant Marines for a bit.

All in all, I'm done with the living conditions that are onboard the ship. I tried to adapt, and after 9 years, you'd think I haved adapted. Alas, this is the end.

Some reasons on leaving.
Being 6'6" tall on a ship designed for ppl who are 6'.
Sleeping in a bed designed for 1/2. 6' long rack at that. Oh and the rack you live on is also where you store your personal items. Imagin storing everything you own in a locker 6' long, by 3' wide by 6". Yes I have a stand up locker that is half this size.
No, these are not the main reasons that I'm getting out. I'm basically tired of the military aspect. I may not be able to make a lot of money out in the world, but, I've come to a point that I have to enjoy life out in the world somewhere else, away from the.....

Anyway, I've been asked that same question by all the senior personnel on this ship.

Oh, in addition....every 3 years you move to other ships/ports/cities/states/countries. Yes, I've seen most of the world. But, I lose friends, gain new ones, and lose them again. Perhaps I just need to settle down somewhere.

So, to answer your questions....

No, I'm not re-enlisting.....
Jumping into the very challenging and backstabbing computer world for a job. Or perhaps Merchant Marines.
