Subject: Why can't people post on message boards with proper grammar?
In reply to: Heimi 's message, "to MVD" on 13:30:55 10/28/02 Mon

Although not addressed to me, your message would be easier to read if you would use correct grammar and punctuation. See your text, then the corrected text below for an example:

you say that you in away got fed up with going to church specialy the Catholic with their kneeling hail mary etc.
then you harp about the mormans and Jeh.Witnesses,
well there is one organization that does not look down or talk against or redicule (as I think you did) I stand corected if I am wrong about that part, but there is one organization that does not throw down or look down on others but say if you go to that particular church and act as a Christian well good and done, but as we do we try our best to witness for Christ by follwing in His steps by doing what he has asked us to do, not what the priest or the Rabbi did by walking on the other side of the road and not looking at the fallen one but as the good samatritan did to go and clean his wounds and dress them with possibly part of his own clothing toree into bandages and take him to an inn and tell the inn keeper to care for him etc.,this is what we do and try to be like Him and that one organization is known on this earth as The COMMUNITY OF CHRIST.

That was one heck of a run-on sentence! Let's break it down. Let's try this:

You said that you became fed up with going to church, especially the Catholic Church, with their kneeling, Hail Mary prayers, etc., then you harp about the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. Well, there is one organization that does not look down, or talk against, or redicule others(as I think you did).

I stand corected if I am wrong about what you wrote, but there is one organization that does not throw down or look down on others, but if tell me you go to that particular church and act as a Christian, well good and done.

We try our best to witness for Christ by following in His steps, doing what He has asked us to do, and not doing as the priest or the Rabbi did that walked on the other side of the road ignoring the fallen one. We are as the good Samaritan and care for the fallen one. This is what we do. We try to be like Him and that one organization is known on this Earth as The COMMUNITY OF CHRIST. Please go to www.communityofchrist.ca or org and read up on what we are and do.

This is done not to ridicule you or condemn you, but to just try and show you that there are some of us that try our best to help our neighbor where ever one exists in this wide world.

Now, isn't that easier to read? Anyway, regardless, I have a few questions. Let's go back to your original text:

you say that you in away got fed up with going to church specialy especially the Catholic with their kneeling hail mary etc.
then you harp about the mormans Mormons and Jeh.Witnesses, I have to ask: did you read MVD's document? He says he was brought up as a Lutheran, not a Catholic. He never mentions Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses. Where are you getting this?
well there is one organization that does not look down or talk against or redicule ridicule (as I think you did) Look down or talk against or ridicule what? You leave this sentence rather dangling there at the end. I stand corected corrected if I am wrong about that part, but there is one organization that does not throw down or look down on others but say if you go to that particular church and act as a Christian well good and done, but as we do we try our best to witness for Christ by follwing in His steps by doing what he He has asked us to do, Okay, you do as Christ asked you to do, which is to judge not, and to be fruitful and multiply. Do you have children? not what the priest or the Rabbi did by walking on the other side of the road and not looking at the fallen one but as the good samatritan Samaritan did I thought you did as Christ asked, not as what some Samaritan did? Whom do you follow? Should we take up the Samaritan religious beliefs as well? to go and clean his wounds and dress them with possibly part of his own clothing toree into bandages and take him to an inn and tell the inn keeper to care for him etc.,this is what we do and try to be like Him and that one organization is known on this earth as The COMMUNITY OF CHRIST. Please got to go to www.communityofchrist.ca or org and read up on what we are and do.
This is done not to redicule ridicule you or condem condemn you but to just try and show you that there sre are some of us that try our best to help our neighbor, and that is not just next door but where ever one exists in this wide world.

By the way, as the moderator of this group, religious discussion is to be avoided. Thank you.
