The Chaosium book I think is around $14 or so, but with shipping it is around $18. Since it collects all his stories into one, I thought I could afford it. The other two volumes I paid $5 for each at half priced books, and they were certainly worth it -- they trace themes found in other authors that were borrowed by Lovecraft, et.al., and then also later authors who continued the story -- from Dereleth to of course, Lin Carter, to others.. again, I think they are very well done.

I will look for the Clark Ashton Smith books in bookstores before I head off to ebay, but thanks for the suggestion I might still do that if I don't find them.
