Wow! Just one little comment and look at what happened!

So, some comments on your comments: I understand that there are tremendous differences among social classes. Social class is a much greater predictor of behavior in the US than racial grouping, even though we aim our affirmative action plans at ethnic groups... I'm very aware of lower class behaviors (not insulting, but a definitive term here) due to my 7 years of teaching in IPS - we were 70-80% free lunch, which means we were 70-80% below the federal poverty line ($17,000 for a family of four). There are several interesting books that highlight behavior by class and I find them fascinating and funny - the humor being that an academic describes my behaviors so accurately, even though we've never met!

Someone suggested that maybe it was young men driving around without shirts and I'm not really bugged by that because that's just young guys trying to show off and I get that - like one of my co-workers said when I worked on a mowing crew one summer about the younger guys on the crew - "young, dumb and full of cum."

I don't get 35 year olds doing it - I find it tacky and I suppose I always will. Does that mean that they're inferior human beings? No. Does that mean that they are engaging in behavio(u)rs that will limit they're ability to succeed in this society (assuming that this is a predictor of other bahaviors) - yes. Does that mean that I want to see some dude's hairy little (sometimes really big) man titties as he puts his shirt on when he gets to the door at the Kroger's - definitely not. If that makes me an arrogant bad guy, well I'm an arrogant bad guy, then.
