Subject: Real Time Episodes 1 -3 Review

The BBC decided to start broadcasting new Doctor Who stories recorded for the internet. The first one, I have not listened to, entitled "Death Comes to Time." It was a 7th Doctor story, and I will probably listen to it sometime.

However, I decided to listen to (and watch) what they had of Real Time, a new 6th Doctor/Cyberman story. One thing I learned -- they have made some simple animations to go along with the story, which I think help the story go along -- visuals are always beneficial. The story itself reminds me of a combination of Tomb of the Cybermen with Stargate SG-1. So far, it is interesting, and one of the ideas involved with it is that the Cybercontroler wants to have the Doctor become the next Cybercontroler... to replace himself. So far, with 1/2 of the story online, I like it. Once again, it is a better story than what was allowed to be broadcast during Colin's reign as the Doctor, and shows the kind of Doctor he had the potential to be -- but also, shows the kind of Doctor he is... His ego is still there, but much more... tempered. Not in a way that hurts his Doctor, but in a way which allows him to have a better depth of character and personality.

If you have the time, I would suggest a visit to the bbc website and have a listen (or a watch). I don't think you will be disappointed.
