Year ago I had all the major Rolemaster rulebooks because the MERP material that ICE produced were based upon Rolemaster. While I think I liked some of its elements, on the other hand, I think it sometimes went to an extreme. It became more roll-playing than it was role-playing. While of course both elements have their say in a game, I do think a rolemaster system that had the core rules tied into a computer program that one could use, would have made the game more successful than it was.

It's been so long since I looked at the Rolemaster stuff, that I hardly remember what elements of it I liked the best, however.
