Subject: Adilbrand, my response!

You said you would be impressed if I could explain your contradictions. I did what I could. And, as I predicted, you came back with why it couldn't be that way. Ready for a shocker?
The Bible does have some errors. And, the bible was written by men.
HOwever, I do not feel that any of those errors take away from the message of redemption that we have through Jesus Christ. Secondly, while men physically wrote the books of the bible, I still believe it is God-breated through them.

Finally, I must leave this site. While I truly do enjoy the debate,(I mean that, there is no sarcasm there)I have a job to do. And, frankly, I am spending a lot of time and energy here, and not with my passion. Leading young lives closer to Christ.

In your reply I noticed you referred to "THe Case for Christ", but not "Dangerous Wonder." Please read it. I thought of another book you may enjoy. It's fiction, but has a cool twist on the spiritual war we are waging. It's called "Behind the Glittering Mask" by Mark Rutland.

My final words: Don't let Christians get in the way of you finding Christ. There are many Christians who I believe embarrass God and themselves. But, Christ remains the same. Second, read the story of the blind man in John 9. The Pharisees wanted proof that Jesus was a prophet. They said it couldn't happen that way. And the blind man who had just received his sight said what I think is one of the best lines in the bible, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. ONe thing I do know, I was blind but now I see."
If you're looking for 100% proof positive before you will believe, you're not going to find it. If you are just having fun and seeing if you can tear down the faith of some well meaning Christians, then you're picking a fight you can't win. Our God is bigger! Or, if you just don't care, I caution you to re-think things. You are a good thinker. I respect that. Don't shut the door on this. May God bless you in your search for TRUTH. Farewell, I hope to see you on streets of gold, praising our glorious Saviour.
