Subject: Christians should read Frankenstein

I was watching Guess who's coming to dinner this afternoon, and a line from that movie really caught me. The father was trying a guilt trip on his son, saying how his son owed him for all the sacrifices the father had to make to make sure the son had all the best opportunities in life, and the son exploded, saying, "I don't owe you a damn thing! Why should I owe you for doing what you were supposed to do?" He went on about how it wasn't his choice to come into this world, and when the father made the choice to raise a child, the father, from that moment on, owed the son EVERYTHING.

The book Frankenstein, of course, has a similar theme, but in that book, Frankenstein does not take responsibility for his actions and the monster chide Frankenstein, telling him just about the same thing: That, as his creator, Frankenstein owed him everything.

Christians should heed this. God, as a creator, owes us everything. We owe him nothing. We do not owe him worship. We do not owe him sacrifices. We did not ask to be here. He owes us. As a parent owes his or her child.

Thus, Christianity is incorrect, for the Book Frankenstein, which is an inspired writing, proves that God, the creator, owes us everything, and we, the created, owe the creator nothing. And since Frankenstein is correct because it says it is true, I maintain that Christians should read the TRUTH, and start reading Frankenstein instead of the Bible. And the message in Frankenstein is supported by the classic film, Guess who's coming to dinner, which further proves the accuracy of my chosen text.

And if that nonsense offends anyone, tough darts. The above was meant entirely in humor. The Pacers may remain in Indiana, and Christians are not anti-American, and, in reality, I don't care if Christians read Frankenstein or not.
