Subject: Star Wars Episode II

Maybe there is hope for Episode II. In a report that was printed in New York Post:

"It's hard to consider the fourth-highest grossing film of all time a disappointment, but Star Wars director George Lucas has made it plain to merchadisers that Phantom Menace was a dog.
"'The last movie did not live up to expectations,' Lucas wrote to Hasbro toy dealers in a marketing pitch that was obtained by Newsweek magazine. Lucas promised that the upcoming Attack of the Clones, which opens May 16, will have 'a darker feel, closer to the original saga,' with 'no silly characters or kids.' Lucas, who wrote The Phantom Menace solo, hired a co-writer to tighten up the script on Attack of the Clones, according to Newsweek."
