A Video Review: The 10th Kingdom

This video was originally an NBC mini-series sarring John Larroquette of "Night Court" fame that flopped. It concerns 2 New Yorkers who get pulled into a fairy tale land inhabited by the grandchildren of all of the people we know from the Brothers Grimm. The House of White (as in Snow) is in trouble and the New Yorkers end up meeting the Peep family (as in Little Bo), a wolf man (he has wolf tendencies but remains mostly human in appearance), dwarves, elves, trolls, magic mushrooms, evil witches, magic items that can consume your soul, potions and even a 200-year old Cinderella.

This is a long movie (6+ hours) and it borrows extensively from everything from Star Wars to Tolkein as well as the Brothers Grimm, but it is fun. It gets off to a slow start but I'd recommend it.
