Well, I missed the show (hadda work), but I was working just across the street from The Club Cafe where P.F. was playing and around 9:30 who pops in but The Man himself. I was sitting near the door working on a project and he announced himself and I replied that it was a pleasure to meet him and I really enjoy the new cd and the track "Violence" in particular. He said the song was a message for people to wake up. I asked why he'd been away so long and he said he just wasn't physically or mentally able to work in the business for a long time. I told him my favourite artist is Laura Nyro and she had said she loved the creative aspect of music but hated the business end of it. He said he'd thought of Laura Nyro while he was performing one of his songs earlier and that something must have pulled him to cross the street and meet me. So, I missed the show, but got to shake hands with one of music's living legends. Guess I won't complain.
