To each his or her own. I believe that having a mate in life is something extra, and that we are as whole as the Lord created us. I had only four years as an unattached adult, and I loved every minute of it. I found that I am my own best friend and could be just as happy being by myself. There are many kinds of love, but being "in love" only lasts such a short time, so that to me it is only an illusion.

No one man is ever worth pining and carrying a torch for. If he is a part of your life in the here and now, fine. If he isn't, forget him, out of sight, out of mind, a great big fat waste of time. That is my philosophy, but to each his or her own and I can respect others' points of view.

You take care of your self, Susie, and I am certainly glad that you are enjoying your own mate, whoever he is. He is a lucky fellow.
