As a musician growing up in Memphis I knew immediately that there was something quite special the 1st time I ever heard "Where Were You When I Needed You." Even with the musical explosion going on at the time this song and the way it was produced & sung grabbed me by the throat. I ran to Pop Tunes and bought the album & was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked every song on both sides unlike most of what I was buying. Through the years as I would always glance at the writer's credits I was astounded at how many songs you wrote that were recorded by such a diverse group of performers. I have sought out & collected your albums and singles for years. I still get a thrill when I hear "You Baby" or "A Must to Avoid." Now the he Folk Alliance has moved to Memphis I can only hope and pray that one day we'll be able to see you perform here. In the mean time, I'll keep listening to those old recordings. Oh yes; I Also like the newer stuff as well.
