I was never able to get into the X Files, not for lack of interest, just that my life was too busy, I never watched tv, caught up on all six seasons of Buffy episodes the summer before season 7, just saw it by chance one night wehn I was home sick and got hooked. Saw a few eps of XF--maybe 10, and the show itself was awesome--the concept was so different than every other cheesy attempt like it out there--in a class by itself, but btvs writing is much better. It's just more clever, Joss & Co make the most mundane interaction either funny, smart, dramatic. That's what I liked so much about the show, you can't label it--it's a drama --sci fi..comedy...love story--everything plus damn good looking vampires. Can't beat it.
