Has anyone experienced this problem?

We have a Honda CRV and the wheelrims on it are a pretty open design. On a close inspection the other day I discovered that the brake drums where SO RUSTY that it was peeling off! Have only had the car 4 years.

As we live in the country it couldn't be the salt air and we have never driven it on the beach, the only other culprit seems to be dog pee! There are 2 male dogs here at home but I wouldn't have thought that they could have caused so much rust.

Anyone have any suggestions...

cheers

Ann
