Good for you John we had the same sort of problem but with dial up speed and then by chance got talking to our local computer place.
He mentioned the H.I.B.I.S scheme and with a little research that took me all of five minutes i found out that it is satelite and the instalation cost is zero and you get a guaranteed price for three years and its so much faster .
I now pay five bucks more than i did for dial up and at the end of the three years i own the dish and modem and it will still cost me nowt .
The best part is that it is funded by the federal government and getting money from this lot is like trying to get blood from a stone .
However for the best service i was on IPRIMUS they never gave me any problem and if they had satelite i would still be with them .
