She sat at one of the tavern's small tables. She was alone because something about the way she sat made it clear she wanted to be.

She had ordered the standard travelling fare out of routine alone; she had no want of the slightly stale chunk of bread, and her ale didn't seem over-appetizing to her either. She could've been a farmer's daughter stopping by for a quick rest after a day of work, or a barmaid taking a moment off, or maybe even a travelling bard. Under the grimy hood of her red cloak her hair could've been any color, any style (although a few wisps that lay against her neck hinted at a russet brown). Her manner was that of someone tired who appriciated the reprieve her rest in the tavern offered.

Stifling a yawn, the girl swept her brown eyes across the tavern room, and then, with a sigh, turned back to her uneaten meal.
