Saeven listens to the girl, confused at first. What was she saying about her family and the chapel and the priest...? Why would she have such close dealings with humans? Then it hits her. The harsh tone she had with the girl completely fades away into compassion and pity.

"Your human family? Tell me, Deirdre, are you a changeling? For you are no demon... and I won't make claim to whether or not we're evil," she adds with a bit of a smirk, "humans may very much think so. And I do not know what caused the deaths in that village, but I can assure you it wasn't you. We aren't quite so powerful. Then... you know nothing of what you really are?" she asks, sounding a little dazed, "a phooka?"

Miryam watches the strange woman talking to Deirdre. She's a little irked, at first, by the way she treated her. Deirdre was already so shy and timid... While the two continue their conversation, however, she glances at Tarkin, trying to get another look at him. Something about him seems so familar, yet so distant. She frowns, turning away. She really doesn't need to be involved in this "phooka"-thing, it's none of her business. Accidently, she runs into Beorn.
