Subject: PHOTO SKEPTICISM

THIS MESSAGE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO OUR 'VIEWS' SECTION,
WHICH WE NO LONGER HAVE. THUS, I HAVE TRANSFERRED IT
TO THE FORUM.

I'm going to make this brief, get the general idea across. I, as well as others in the field, receive a lot of e-mail stating that all possible ghost photos are fake simply because they CAN be faked or because other objects/conditions can create similar images. To make that statement is absolutely ridiculous. I can build a model home to represent my real home, being darn near
exact. Does that mean my actual home does not exist, because I manufactured a similar image? Many different, unrelated
objects can create a similar image on film. As far as dishonesty goes, there are frauds in every field ... unfortunately. Regarding my posted photos, I state that I simply cannot explain them. Also, labeling something as an 'orb' or 'mist' doesn't make the claim that they DEFINITELY represent the images of "ghosts". You can't just look at a photo on the web to determine it's authenticity either. When I
say that these photos are unexplainable, that means under the conditions & situations they were taken in. Simply looking at a globe photo on the web, for example, without knowing the whole story behind it will obviously not be convincing enough. So, when you see these possible "ghost" photos, please keep this in mind. It's essential to be skeptical but also keep an open mind.
