Subject: Pay to view paranormal web sites & so forth

I just want to tell you that I love your links section. I had a lot of fun going to many of the listed sites. One of them was the Bay Area Paranormal in California. One of the first things I noticed on their web site was this statement they make: "I would also like to mention that we
have moved ourselves away from a few of the "bigger"
sites whom ask you for donations, pay to view photos
and and use their "ghost hunting site" for great personal
gain and not the pure satisfaction of educating the public."
Good point, I thought. However, upon viewing their page further I noticed they have their own online book store. What hypocrits I thought! Isn't that used for personal gain?
Anyway, I wanted to ask what others view about this pay-to-view web sites like the IGHS (International Ghosts) and so forth. I'm not too thrilled because years ago I sent in a photo that is up but now I can't view my own picture! What are your thoughts?

I couldn't agree with you more. I belong to a ghost hunting group and we sent a picture to IGHS but we wisened up and refused to allow them to post it. Now we have our own site and I take my hat off to anyone who (like us) doesn't charge money to have their pictures viewed. I feel most people who charge for this are simply charlatans trying to make money off of pictures they probably faked in the first place. You either love the hunt or you don't. If you don't, then get into some other field.
