you know, they have to keep people that aren't normally interested in the paranormal interested. So they have to make it more severe.

Yes you can record on a portable tape recorder, although it will be faint many many Paranormalists have used these in a pinch. Although the 'old fashion' tape reel to reels alow for easier contact and wider vibrationary range.

As to the 'squiggly lines' people like to see something, We use several EMF detectors, I have not use an 'EVP', and mini temp lasers, but the best one I use is a little tape recorder. I have heard many things simply by being still.

I did not see this show but I will look out for it. It maybe hogwash, but many people use tools availible for them.

I usually have a recorder so that I can hear what was going on at the time. I like to record tempature and aptmospheric information and sometimes things show up on the tape.
